iTools 7 : Administration : SSL Adminstration Print send FAQs by e-mailask a question
Question:I really only want to use SSL for secure administration. It looks like an SSL certificate is already enabled, because when I try to create a certificate, it says, 'Warning: There is an existing certificate for this virtual host....'
Is there already an SSL certificate that I can use to securely administer my machine?
Answer:iTools Manager 7 is communicating with Admin server via SSL connection.
The SSL certificate for the Admin server is a self signed certificate, and it should be fine to use. Since Tenon is not an official Certification Authority, browsers will complain. If you want to eliminate those annoying "Unknown issuer" messages from the browser, then you need to buy a real certificate and place it in:

/Library/Tenon/WebServer/Configuration/ssl.crt/admin-server.crt
affected operating systems:Mac OS X
