iTools 7 : Administration : Store websites on a Volume other than the root partition Print send FAQs by e-mailask a question
Question:I want to store my websites on a harddrive other than my root drive, how would I do this?
Answer:The recommended way to store your websites on a different drive is to move the /Library/Tenon/WebServer/WebSites folder and create a symbolic link to the other drive in it's place. This can be done as follows:

cd /Library/Tenon/WebServer

mv WebSites WebSites.bak

ln -s /Volumes/OtherDisk/WebSites/ ./WebSites

If you wish to only store one or a few websites on a differnt partition it would be recommended to simply point their DocumentRoot to the new location.
