Post.Office : Account Management : Importing Users from other Programs Print send FAQs by e-mailask a question
Question:How do I import users from my current mail server or list server?
Answer:Support for importing Mac OS X system users is built into Post.Office.

Post.Office supports importing users from the following programs:
  • LetterRip

  • EIMS

  • WebSTAR 4

  • QuickMail

  • NetTen
(Note: When importing NetTen users, the MTA-Accounts database located in NetTen:mail:config: should be used rather than an export text file.)

To import users:
  1. Export your user list from the program you are using and copy it to your home directory on your Post.Office server.

  2. Run the appropriate import script, using the following Terminal syntax:
    sudo /usr/local/post.office/cmdutils/import.program_name
making sure to use the name of one of the program scripts included, rather than "program_name".

  3. The above example assumes that you are logged in as an admin user and that the export file is located in your home directory.
