Question:How do I backup Post.Office for a reinstallation or move to another machine?
Answer:The files that you need to back up in order to keep your user acounts and configuration are:

/var/spool/mailbox
/var/spool/post.office


You can create a compressed tar file of the directory from the Terminal like this:
cd / 

sudo tar czvf Post.Office-backup-11.6.2002.tar.gz /var/spool/post.office


To restore the settings:
cd / 

sudo tar xzvf Post.Office-backup-11.6.2002.tar.gz


To back up the mailbox directory, use:
cd /

sudo tar czvf Post.OfficeMailbox-backup-11.6.2002.tar.gz /var/spool/mailbox


To restore the mailbox directory, use:
cd /

sudo tar xzvf Post.OfficeMailbox-backup-11.6.2002.tar.gz
