Post.Office
Howdy:
Forgot to mention this problem in my last msg.
After my install of the recent P.O update ( Post.Office-3.5.3b19 ) the
log file(s) seem corrupted.
Previously, there would be two logs for the current date:
post.office-0227.log
post.office.log
and they would be written to simultaneously. At the end of the day the
log w/ the current date in the title would be closed, a new one created
w/ the new current date, and the post.office.log file would be clear to
start the process again, etc.
After the install I noticed that the "post.office.log" file had been
replaced w/ a link, and though the current dates log seemed to be written
to ( the modified time stamp stays fairly current ), one could not tail
past about the time of the re-boot after the install ( see samples below
):

Either the upgrade altered the logging options settings ( but they
look OK on the Logging Options form ), or the log file and/or link is
munged ( not good ).
Since the ability to view the log file is important to early use of
the product, Tenon's help in these matters would be greatly appreciated.
Also, the log files seem to be building up in number and space used.
If Tenon could include some "tickle" to the cron file ( or wherever
appropriate ) to compress them down and delete old ones after a week or
so ( similar to what currently happens to system logs, maybe a postmaster
setting option ) that too would be greatly appreciated.
