Done.  we had it set up the other way so I would get any responses to 
the initial posting, and not the whole list.

The package, like almost all Installer packages, is an installer and 
an updater.

Apple currently does not include an un-install feature with the 
package installer.  The correct way to un-install would be to use the 
Terminal command:

sudo rm -R /var/spool/post.office /var/spool/mailbox \
/usr/local/post.office /usr/lib/libPO35* \
/Local/Library/Receipts/Post-Office.pkg

or to use a program that can delete packages according to the package bom.
