Post.Office
It seems that your users are not able to connect to the IMAP server process.
In a terminal, type
telnet xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx 110
where xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx is the post.office machine's ip address and it will
tell you which mail server is running. If you don't see a banner from
Post.Office that looks like this:
+OK www.mydomain.com POP3 server (Post.Office v3.5.3 release 223 with ZPOP
version 1.0 ID# 1001-52238U100L10S0V35)
then you have another mail server running on port 110. I had this problem
recently. If post.office is running, then I don't know what to tell you but
if it isn't, I'll help you fix it.
