Post.Office
Re: SQL for Subscriber Lists?
Does anyone know how does Post.Office stores subscriber lists? Is it
a text file, or is it part of an internal database?
Post.Office stores the subscriber list in the database, but it can be
accessed via the command line utilities. The command line utilities
are run from the command line (terminal window) from the
/usr/local/post.office/cmdutils directory. The best way to run the
utilities is to go to that directory as root, create a test
subdirectory (mkdir test), change the file permissions on the test
directory to "777" with the command:
chmod 777 test
Change to that directory with the command:
cd test
and then run the commands. Then when you're done, simply remove the
test directory.
cd ..
rmdir test
You can get the full documentation on the command line utilities by
logging into Post.Office as the Postmaster through the web browser,
clicking on the "Help" button and then clicking on the Administration
Guide link. Section 11.4 tells you all about the command line
utilities for the mailing list.

Thanks in advance,
