I'm really interested in this too. I have tried to do this on occasion and not have not had a lot of success with this. I would like to hear how you would configure post.office for both the primary and secondary mx record servers. from here, i think i could infer this to my installation.

what we have is post.office as our primary server, it is configured as mail.customer1st.com with a priority of 10. Our secondary is mail server that is integral to our web crossings intranet server at minnesota.customer1st.com. We would like the secondary server to collect the smtp connections when our primary is down. when the primary is back up, then we would like to have the secondary relay all the stored mail to the primary.

Where we seem to get into problems is that we don't want the secondary to reject mail that is not explicitly sent to it for an account that it does not have (it has no accounts) and we want post.office to accept and not reject relays from it but still do its filtering thing.

Comments?

I love my Tenon Post.Office, but if it goes down, I want to have a back up.... Anybody Linux savy?

I have a linux machine up and running Mandrake 9.0

I know I need to make another MX record in my DNS records, but how do I configure the linux to pick up the mail, and push it over once it is back up?

Thanks,

Ben
