None of my user accounts were messed up. My domains that I serve
were intact (except for one out of about 10 that went missing,
which is still a mystery to me). Also, now I get an error message
for each spam filtered message that PO attempts to reject. Each
error message tells me that some fake email address that originated
the spam like xyz@xxxxxxxxx cannot be reached. Somehow, PO now is
trying to return each spam rather than simply dropping the spam
into the bit bucket.
Please let me know what you have in your filter definition and I
will help you to fix this. I am also running more testing to
attempt to duplicate your upgrade problem and I will let you know
what I find.
Sue, I found the problem. Turns out the same bug that clobbered my
other settings also reset the Error Procession form that I set up to
NOT notify me if mail cannot be bounced due to bad return addresses
(most spam). I reset that and now am not getting the 500+ Postmaster
emails I got in the past 24 hours.
Hope you fix this bug soon in 716. I just read Eric's post and it
appears that he has located the problem. Eric, does running the
Post.Office app also launches Post.Office when it is done? Or do you
have to reboot or manually launch /usr/local/Post.Office/Post.Office
via the Command line?
