Hi,

New to the product and the mailing list - hello!

Quick question:

I am setting up a webmail (IMAP) system using Squirrel-Mail - everything is working fine,  except I can't send any mail out unless it is to a local address.  I get the error message:

Requested action not taken:  mailbox unavailable
Server replied: 550

If I am not mistaken 550 is a no-relay error message.  I have POP before SMTP enabled to keep my email server from acting as an open-relay.  I fear this means that the current product won't allow outgoing mail for IMAP users unless you want to act as an open relay - is that correct?  Or is the problem something else?

Sorry if this question has been answered before.

Regards,
