Rick, You make it sound like everyone that runs PO is having the same
problems you are. This is absolutely false. I was merely trying to
point out to you my environment, setup and traffic load as well as
overall experience. I am sorry you are having all these problems but
to blame PO is absolutely wrong since many others are happily
chugging along. Yes, its a Mac but OS X is a whole new ball game
underneath and I think you just need to step back and work through
the problem very methodically. If it means reinstalling to make sure
things are configured properly and given a clean start then thats
what you should do. It does not take that long. If you are looking
for a more encompassing GUI friendly or simpler system then perhaps
you made the wrong choice. There are many of us out here where PO is
set it and forget it and it runs for months without a reboot so I do
not think that just stating "I am having all these problems so FIX
IT" or "I REFUSE" to do this or that is going to help your situation
any.

It is on a pristine OS X 10.2.3. installation. I had problems before
I ever added Retrospect or WebEdge to the mix. Retrospect is now
gone. As for WebEdge, if I can't install a product from the company
that makes the mailserver, then something is wrong.
To repeat myself, I DID FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS TO THE LETTER. On
top of that, Sue has gone over the installation carefully. There are
flaws in the product. If I were the only one experiencing these
issues, that would be one thing, but I'm NOT THE ONLY ONE. I work in
a heavy production environment, I simply REFUSE to reinstall the
system and PO. That's bull. This is the Mac, for God's sake - not
Windows. Reinstalling anything is a Windows tech's answer to any ill.
I researched this product, paid for this product, purchased the
support option, meticulously installed it, followed up with Tenon to
check the installation, and have had too many problems. Now, they
need to fix it. They've admitted that at least one of the problems
I'm having is a known bug. They're the developers. FIX IT.
