Post.Office
This is *exactly* what I was trying to say. If my answer is not
helpful I'm sorry. But computer problems are hard, that is why people
make a living solving them, but giving the impression that
Post.Office doesn't work is wrong in many ways. I recommend
Post.Office to clients that want/need email and have little
experience, In all cases they have never called me again on email
issues.... Hey! perhaps that's a mistake and I should start
recommending an exchange server... ;-P
When I read a message saying that "such and such feature doesn't
work" and I have seen the feature work in several configurations I
find it very hard to give help long distance...

I have a feeling that they are just trying to tell you that there maybe
something else you should look at. ie: some of these problems might not
specifically be Post.Office's fault. more below...

When a cat is dropped, it always lands on its feet, and when toast
is dropped, it always lands with the buttered side facing down. I propose
to strap buttered toast to the back of a cat; the two will hover,
spinning inches above the ground. With a giant buttered cat array, a
high-speed monorail could easily link New York with Chicago.
