Actually, this same problem ( or one very similar ) was discussed
extensively on this list in eary Mar. 2002, and I was under the
impression from Anita that it was fixed in a release soon after that.
We haven't installed any of the updates since then ( fear I guess ),
but continue to get msgs. in our /var/spool/post.office/messages
directory that don't show up anywhere in the P.O browser interface. Most
of them ( ~30-60/day ) are SPAM that come via our backup sendmail server
under iTools 6.5, but a few are the result of our local filter which
targets a few SPAM servers.
To remove them we go in every day or so when doing an SSH check of the
server and "rm *" anything in the directory. If it wasn't so much fun
deleting them by hand I could probably create a cron job to do it for me.
