Post.Office
Hi Sue,
I've already removed WebEdge and I don't think I want to fool with it
anymore ... I will restart as you suggested in case it needs to be
done because of some changes made. I really do appreciate all of your
help but really all I need is for this mail server to stay up and
functioning so I can receive my mail. I'm not going to experiment
with any new products or upgrades for a while .... I'm a beaten man
at the moment! : c)
Is there an Archive of this list anywhere ... I'd like to check back
and have a look, my mail's not been working properly since I
installed WE again yesterday afternoon.
Thanks again,
Marc Kaiwi

Hello Marc,
Try rebooting once more. I made a change to your /etc/hostconfig
file that tells Post.Office to start up on reboot.
Here is what I did:
in /private/etc/hostconfig there is an entry that says:
MAILSERVER=-NO-
this is how it should be, because this tells the OS not to restart
sendmail on reboot. However, you were missing the line that tells
the OS to restart Post.Office, which is:
POSTOFFICE=-YES-
so I added that line.
Try rebooting and tell me if this solves the problem.
Sue
