You're right! What ports would be safe to run WE on? If my http
server is using port 80 what would that have to do with P.O.????

WebEdge has no hooks into P.O. They are separate products with no
interconnection except once you check your mail.
The only thing I can think of that would cause the problems you had was a
port conflict if you specified the same ports for P.O. and WebMail.
This would cause problems with any network-based program
