PostOffice and PHP mail function (disfunction?)

I had iTools, PHP (the version recommended by iTools) and MySQL happily working together.

I had a few programs, sending email from PHP scripts with mail(...) function that is said to use sendmail Everything was perfect.

Then I installed PO on the same machine, which also works fine, but I cannot send email from PHP scripts any mere.

PO manual sayes that there is a replacement (also called "sendmail") provided by PostOffice as default that takes care of the scripts that were written to use sendmail. It looks that it is not working in my case.

Any suggestions, anybody???
