Moving Post.Office to Another Server

I've followed the steps for moving Post.Office to another machine (the steps
listed in the manual as well as what's been copy/pasted to this list), and
it seems like everything works ok except that the mailboxes don't get copied
over to the /var/spool/mailbox location when I untar the backup file.

What I did as an attempted workaround is just tar up that directory
(/var/spool/mailbox) and then untar it on the new machine - unfortunately,
this results in var.1/spool/mailbox. When I then move this new mailbox
directory into the proper location, Post.Office reports:

[mail:/var/spool/mailbox] (my_user_name)# sudo
/usr/local/post.office/post.office
sudo: Can't get working directory!
pop_before_smtp db =/var/spool/post.office/pop-before-smtp/PopHosts
Startup Problem:
The permissions on directory /var/spool/mailbox are incorrect.
post.office Exiting!

How can I get my permissions straightened out? The manual says that the FAQ
on the Tenon.com site lists the proper permissions for osX, but I couldn't
find it in there. Also, the error "Can't get working directory!" - is that
also a permissions issue, or a config file issue?

Any help is welcome - I probably should just contact Tenon tech support
directly, but I suspect my support has run out. :)
