Hi Ron,
Before you uninstall Post.Office, we can use some (geek) tricks to try to find out what your Postmaster account looks like, and maybe you will still be able to log in.  Please try the following:

1.  Bring up a terminal window (Finder/Applications/Utilities/terminal)

2.  In the window, type in:

sudo tcsh

and enter your password when prompted.

3.  Type in
  cd /usr/local/post.office/cmdutils
 mkdir test
chmod 777 test
cd test

../listacct
(check to see if you have Postmaster and Root in the list)

../getacct Posmtaster
../getacct Root

cat Postmaster.acct

Keep the window open
Take a look at the output of the last command and see if it shows you:

SMTP-Address and what that address is.  Try logging in with exactly that address.  Look to see if you have Access-Domains set.  Hopefully, Access-Domains is set to []  (ie blank).  If not, then I will have to help you further to fix this.
See if the Account has a password or if it says:

Locked:  [yes]

If so, then your account was locked and we'll have to unlock it.  Also, type in:

../postmasterpasswd

and set a new password.  Try logging in with that password.

Next, type in:

cat Root.acct
and do the same thing.

After you have done that, do the following:
4.  In the window, type in:

rm *.acct
cd ..
rmdir test

And this will clean up what we put on the machine.

Let me know what you find and I will help you to login, but don't post that information to the list, if you need to give me specific information, please send it to:

Hi Gang,

I need assistance in a hurry. I was trying to make adjustments to the postmaster account and the next time I logged in to administer, my root access is gone. I cannot log in as root or postmaster, but all users are functioning properly. Is there a way to access via terminal to undo what I did? Should I reinstall the program? PLEASE HELP ASAP?

Thanks,
Ron
