Several effective filters
|
I thought I would share some of our
most effective filters:
1. From:
*[nN]ewsletter|[Bb]argain|boing|topica|DIRECTCLICK|[oO]ffers|[pP]romotion|[Dd]eal|[pP]romo|advert|optin|freelotto* OR To:
*[Bb]argain|boing|topica|DIRECTCLICK|[oO]ffers|[pP]romotion|[Dd]eal|[pP]romo|advert|optin|freelotto*
2. Src address: *bounce|boing*
These two filters are responsible for an enormous amount of trapped
emails. The first looks for suspicious stuff in the from or the
to headers. The second dumps anything that has bounce or boing
in the server's name. You can't believe how much this one
does.
To each of these you can add a line that exempts certain source hosts
or addresses that get falsely trapped.
Anyhow, YMMV, but maybe it helps.
