I have a mailing list where users are complaining that Reply-To isn't
working properly. The list is set up with what appears to be the correct
additional header:
Reply-To: listaddress@xxxxxxxxxx
and apparently some mail is indeed behaving correctly. The header appears
correct to me, so I have two questions:
1. Has anyone encountered anything like this, or know of any obvious thing
to look for on the server side? By all appearances, everything is set
correctly. The fact that some mail behaves correctly makes me think it's
not a server issue, but if this behavior is something someone has seen
previously, I thought I'd ask.
2. Does anyone know of any mail clients that might habitually ignore
Reply-To headers? I can't imagine that any do, but perhaps my users have
some bizarre client software that is overriding the Reply-To header.
Does Hotmail mess with Reply-To headers?
Anyway, thanks for any help anyone can offer.
