In answer to my own question, if SA is configured to call Vipul's 
Razor, it fails  reading its config file produces tainted values. 
Apply the patch to the Razor 2 modules developed by Dan Quinlan, 
SpamAssassin Developer, at 
http://www.ijs.si/software/amavisd/Razor2.patch-quinlan.
