When I go into Post.Office account administration and check the quota for an account it show this:

Current POP3/IMAP4 Mailbox Size: 5556 Kilobytes

But when I log in with my mailclient to that account there is no mail... I have tried Mail, Eudora and SquirrelMail.

When I first logged in via SquirrelMail it did find mail but since I didn't want it (spam) I deleted it. But somehow it seems it's still there... Or there is mail there that won't show to any mailclient. The thing is that I have users that claim that they are not getting all their mail.

I do have SMTP filters but they don't delete anything, just copy mail to a certain account so I can check them. And even if the filters where to blame the account would not have that size and still be empty would it?
It's possible the "__size__" file didn't get updated the last time msgs. were deleted from the in box. If that's the case, nothing is wrong and it will be updated next time a msg. comes in.

To check what's really in the box, use terminal to go to that directory ( cd "whatever-the-POP3/IMAP4 Mailbox Directory:-says"/in ). If nothing is there, there's no msgs. available.

While there you can read the current size of the in box by doing a "cat __size__". If it still shows more than zero, and there's no msgs. showing you can delete that file if you want, it's reuilt after each change in msgs. added or deleted.

Otherwise, batteries aren't included, and your mileage may vary.

HTH.
