Re: Dynamic Host - SMTP Message Filter Setup

Wow, where have you been! -- SA is the biggest thing since PO's
inception. Ensure you are on the newest release (r721) and
simply construct a body_filter as shown below:
Content-Type: image/tiff;
x-unix-mode=0666;
name="pastedGraphic2.tiff"
Content-Disposition: inline;
filename=pastedGraphic2.tiff
Attachment converted: Green iMac:pastedGraphic2 3.tiff (TIFF/JFAX)
(0015860C)
Here is my SA filter, where I'm excluding my RBL's and local
domains.
Content-Type: image/tiff;
x-unix-mode=0666;
name="pastedGraphic1.tiff"
Content-Disposition: inline;
filename=pastedGraphic1.tiff
Attachment converted: Green iMac:pastedGraphic1 9.tiff (TIFF/JFAX)
(0015860D)
I had so much junk mail coming in before,
I'm getting lonely!
This is why you send "copyto" your junk to:
rbl@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx, spamass@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx, etc., it let you check-out
your spam when your are lonely!

I don't have Spam Assassin? Where do you
get that?
Sorry if I'm a little behind the curve
here ....
Thanks again,

These seem to be working very well so

Great; I asked for the snapshot because I
thought you said it was "not" working.
Now "exclude" these RBL from
your SA filter; then SA will get what they miss.
Since you are not sending a copy of a
specified mailbox (ie: rbl@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx), I assume you are reporting
via the logs as to what is getting filtered? Back when I was
tracking this, I posted this note:
Aprox. 22,000 spams in
the last 10 days with "zero" false positives; SA Running
"out of the box", no white-list, etc..
sbl.spamhaus.org.........48.55%
bl.spamcop.net...........21.23%
spam_assassin............19.22% *not an
RBL
dnsbl.njabl.org..........10.14%
spamguard.leadmon.net.....0.69%
blackholes.uceb.org.......0.09%
relays.ordb.org...........0.06%
rdts.bl.reynolds.net.au...0.03%
*Note:
Spam Assassin sits behind these RBL's; ie: the
(7) rbl's are excluded in the SA_Filter -- SA would get more spam if
it were not setup this way.
