Apple's OSX mail_Client works flawlessly for me; Office X's Entourage is even more efficient with large IMAP histories; it spends far less time caching/indexing/synchronizing than Apple's OSX mail_client.

moving a message from one IMAP folder to another will mark the message as unread.

I have never tired; not sure I would want to ;)

The other bug that bothers me a great deal is when I get a single piece of new mail filtered into an IMAP folder, I can never see it in the list when I switch to that folder.

If there's anything I would wish for from further P.O updates, fixes for these bugs would top my list.

IMO, all of these issues are mail_client issues -- not a PO bug.

I've noticed this with Mail.app, and mentioned it to Tenon, but I wanted to point out that testing Mozilla recently I see the same behavior: moving a message from one IMAP folder to another will mark the message as unread. If it doesn't mark the message as unread during the current client session, it will definitely be marked as unread after quitting and restarting the client.

I have another IMAP account that does not run on P.O and does not exhibit this behavior, so I don't think the client apps are at fault. This is one bug that I would dearly love to see fixed.

The other bug that bothers me a great deal is when I get a single piece of new mail filtered into an IMAP folder, I can never see it in the list when I switch to that folder. It will absolutely not appear, and the folder will be marked, on that visit, as having no unread message in it. Once the folder has been fully cached, I can switch out, and then back in, and lo, the message will be there, unread. Does anyone else see this behavior?

If there's more than one new message in a folder, I do not see this problem. To be clear, though, I can't be certain that this isn't a client problem. If there's anything I would wish for from further P.O updates, fixes for these bugs would top my list.
