Thanks; will try it.
I did notice that Entourage seems far more efficient than Apple's
OSX_mail_client for IMAP -- which is a bummer, since I prefer to work
with the OSX/Panther_client.

No, your mail is still on the imap server and the default is to
leave the mail on POP server. It's just that the mail gets marked
as read so you have to look a little harder for your new mail.
