RE: RE: Post.Office mta user home directory?
Hi Eric,
Here is my new SA CL:
sudo /usr/bin/spamd -u mta -x -d -D -r /var/run/spamd.pid
The -x prevents the /Users/admin/.spamassassin failures. I now have sa-learn
working fine. I was trying to run it as the mta user
but not I see that I need to run it as root.
The remaining issue is the mta home directory. spamd and sa-learn now both use
the same directory for bayes:
/var/spool/post.office/.spamassassin/
I am still guessing that this is because the mta user is set-up like this or
because this the path for the post.office executable.
My question remains:
Will /var/spool/post.office/.spamassassin/ ever be over written by a PO upgrade?
No matter what I do I can't force SA to use any other path for the bayes files.
Rather than fight it I will just live with it. I
can live with it only if I can upgrade with out worrying about the PO installer
deleting this rouge directory.
