spamassassin and bayes

Does anyone know is the /usr/local/post.office/ directory is over-written when 
PO is updated???

I ask because I have been forced to place some SA config files in this 
directory (a .spamassassin/ directory) and I just want to
make sure that they will not be trashed on the next PO update.
