Hi all,

I know that this is slightly off topic, but I have a user on my network with a new WindowsXP laptop that has the latest virus update installed on his machine but it is continuously sending out UDP packets. My firewall is denying the packets, but my question is:
Is this normal behavior for WindowsXP to randomly send UDP packets to random ports directed at my firewall?

Here is a quick sample:

01/28/2004 11:22:35.112 -       Denied UDP packet from LAN -
Source:10.6.18.102, 34485, LAN -        Destination:10.6.18.1, 1900, LAN -
I really appreciate the help.

Thanks,
Ron
