Post.Office
archiving sent e-mail (corporate environment)
Hi all,
With companies being charged with the task of storing company e-mails
for later retrieval and scrutiny, what have you implemented to take
care of this? Post.Office doesn't seem to have a built-in real-time
archival system, at least none that I've found. In-bound e-mails can
be recorded by having all e-mail accounts automatically forward their
received mail to a separate account, but what about out-bound? User
sent-mail folders can be deleted and/or "lost", so that's not an
option. I'd be interested in seeing what people have done, and also
what Tenon's stance on this is.
(Some people may argue that this is an invasion of privacy, but as
users of company-provided e-mail systems, my employees are told that
e-mail is monitored and recorded for legal reasons. Anything sent out
on company e-mail bears the company brand behind it, and thus could
possibly tarnish the name if misused. Anything they don't want seen
by other eyes can be done with a non-corporate e-mail account.)
Thanks!
