Yes, you should delete the user. It seems like that user might have
corrupted __CACHE__ file in the IMAP folder..

I have a IMAP account that has suddenly became problematic (its my
only IMAP account); it grinds on the server forever and never really
syncs -- I assume it must be corrupt. I confirmed this behavior on
(2) difference OSX email clients.
When trying to allow the IMAP client to sync, the IMAP_servers invoke
a major processor hit to my PO/Apache_server, launching several
IMAP_server processes eating up processor -- thus affecting my entire
server, network, etc.
This occurred the on Friday, I purchased the 3.6 upgrade hoping it
would fix the problem, but it did not.
Short of deleting this IMAP user, is there a way to fix?
