You can modify the SA config files to change your spam score and enable the
bayes learning database. The default score is 5.0 which
is quite low for us. I have bumped up to 11.0 to prevent false positives.
The bayes database is great. As spam gets by the filter you add these to be
'learned' and the same goes for ham (non spam caught as
spam). You can have SA auto learn but the downside is you can't control what
is auto learned (i.e. all spam over a set limit and
all ham under a set limit).
I found it a bit of a pain to get set-up but it is worth it.
