Hey Michael,
I am using a similar configuration. You should update to the latest
Macjordomo (which is 1.5a4), because it requires a confirmation for the
subscription, which is much better in my opinion!
Macjordomo is configurable with AppleScript.
Subscribe, activate, deactivate and Unsubscribe are some commands which
Macjordomo
understands. So you are able to subscribe people without sending one mail.
