SSL setup with changed IP address

This is lousy the way this got up, but here's the situation I find myself 
in now (IP addresses changed to protect the innocent : )

I had added a the domain "secure.com" to the server with an IP address of 
10.10.10.10. I then generated a CSR and began the signing process with 
Thawte.

While the approval was underway, the address of secure.com changed to 
10.10.10.50. Subsequently there was problems with the temp cert (being 
unable to find the key file) that prevented web service from starting up. 
I turned security off for secure.com and at least the webserver was able 
to run.

When our signed certificate arrived, I placed it (named 
"10.10.10.50.crt") in tenon/ssl/private. I tried turning on security for 
the virtual host and got the error "You must create a 'Certificate' 
before enabling SSLSecurity."

I used sslcerts.cgi to export the 10.10.10.10 SSL key file, renamed it 
10.10.10.50.key and added that to the private folder with the .crt, but I 
can't set this path to the key in the SSLCertificateKeyFile field of the 
admin page (whatever I add there gets erased when I save the virtual 
host).

I tried using sslcerts.cgi to import the renamed key file and the old 
..crt file, but I get a configuration error from the server.

Help! What should be my next step to getting this up and running? And is 
there any way to delete the old 10.10.10.10.key file from the internal 
file system?
