Something i have been playing around with and that is somewhat hot on the Lasso
list is producing PDFs through a database, and the discussion has been going
from FileMaker plug-ins to PHP to FDF (forms data format by Adobe, the dev kit
comes w/ acrobat 4.0). my best guess is that the FDF will work the best, since
it grabs data in a database or even through URL-passed parameters. the data
inside a PDF is somewhat like a markup language, but a bit more cryptic. you
can set up fields and such in the page and draw data from a variety of sources.
i'm still not too up-to-date on the specifics, but a good look on the adobe
site will reveal many resources!
