Re: Quitting a Hung WebTen via Timbuktu?
It may be a little late for this suggestion, but I thought _I_ was working
with the worst Co-Lo company in the USA, but I can always get a button
pushed within 10 minutes 24/7(although I have only tested this theory 18/7).
Is it time you used a better provider, I'm sure you don't need this 10 times
a day(I would hope) but this little amount of service would be hard to live
without.
My 2c
Again, I know this has been talked about before, but who is really happy
with their ISP's up time and service on this list.
Does anyone have a co-lo with a web interface? For things like local pinging
of different IP addresses and the facility to cycle their power from a web
interface no on their own box?
My company Claim they monitor our boxes and will do this manually, but they
have not caught 1 crash yet.
They also claimed that they were backing up my Co-Lo until I made the
technician go and ask his superior how they accessed my files. After being
on hold for about 15 minutes I was told that the documentation was
incorrect, they do not backup the co-lo's.
Boy was I surprised:-)
I suppose that was my 4c, sorry for the rant.
