correct me if i'm wrong, but i remember seeing something on MacInTouch about
the dual-processor development and the implementation of soemthing on the logic
board that splits processor power off automatically, without the need for any
firm or software to take advantage of it. the photoshop test they ran at
MacWorld had nothing extra except for the altivec plug-in.

another note about the server-rack stuff: Macintosh has never really aimed at
the rackable server market. they're made for the creative types, not
necessarily the techie types. i don't know if the cube would be good for a
rack, the fanless configuration probably needs LOTS of space. i've always
heard horror stories about iMacs cooking themselves while in close quarters.
my guess is that someone will build a fan- or chemical-cooled rackmountable
housing for them (sans clear/graphite plastic), although it would take up like
6 or 8U. i would just like to see one of these on my desk with a 21" SGI
monitor attached. sexy!
