Try FastCGI - it runs the script continually in the background,
eliminating compilation time. (Read the appropriate section in the WT
manual.

Also, remember that WebTen is an application, and Perl under a Raq is a
system library/built-in. Thus, you cannot expect WT to provide incredible
performance for Perl scripts...
