Alex,

You might want to check out the Macintouch web site.  Just a month 
ago they had a discussion on UPS monitoring software for the mac. The

After reading some of the postings, it sound like APC's PowerChute 
mac software is buggy.  Some said that TrippLite and Belkin have more 
up to date mac software for their products.
