If you do get a generator, it needs to be 3 times the rating of your UPS.
If you've got a APC 3000 you need at least 9kw generator or the battery can
be damaged and the generator will be overworked.
I agree that APC is the best UPS as well. We have a few of them. We had
ONE that did have an issue. It was AFTER warrenty ran out and they just
swapped it out for a new unit.
