WebTen
> Your .pl scripts should work as you expect under WebTen. The most
common problem is permissions. Is the script in an executable
directory? Maybe /cgi-bin/myscripts/ or something to that affect?
What are you using as your path variable in your script?
Hi,
The permissions are all set properly. I don't know what path I should be using
but I'm using:
One thing that sometimes happens is your cgi will try to write a
temp. file the stock cgi-bin directory permissions are 775 and if
you're trying to write into it it will fail. What I've done is create
a subdirectory called /scripts/ and chmod it to 777 and then place my
publicly executable script in this directory. In your case the .cgi
might be attempting to write the temp .html file in the cgi-bin
directory and that's not allowed.
/usr/local/etc/httpd/cgi-bin/
that looks like the right path.
The other question I have is how to set up separate cgi-bin
directories for each
virtual host. Right now I just have one main one at the top level. Any help
would be appreciated.
I think there's some notes on this topic on Tenon's site. I don't
offer that feature so I can't help.
Good luck.
charlie
