Frequent slow downs

I am experiencing frequent slowdowns with my Production server G3 450
256/9G, running WebTen 3.0.3 (with DNS), WebCat Plug-in 3.0.8, EIMS 2.2.2
and Timbuktu 5.2.3.

I have many about 10 sites mostly using little resources, and none have
jumped in traffic in the last few weeks.

About every 20 minutes or so the server stops all services for between 1 and
5 minutes???
The server does not crash, just goes deaf on all ports, although I can still
ping with reasonably fast response rates???

I have checked the WebCat debug log and the WebTen logs and found no
patterns that are obvious, just unexplained skips in service for 1-5
minutes.

I did try only running the mail server one night and found no interruption
in service, so this points to WebTen and WebCat, I have tweaked all WebCat
and WebTen settings with no change.

Any ideas anyone?
