The correct Unix way to change directories is "cd .." - that should take you
up to the / or "root" directory. Then you can type "cd /cgi-bin/scripts".
You should also be able to type "cd /cgi-bin/scripts" - if the cgi-bin is in
the top directory of root.
Note that a user always logs into their home directory (~ root #). You can
change the default "home" for a user as well, but in this case, it is easier
to simply change directories.
