Re: setting up Web server
Thanks for the hints so far but it is still not hitting home. I
believe I have been trying what has been suggested so far. My ISP
domain is nwlink.com, I add that to my TCP/IP settings under Search
domains along with my IP number (and other details). My custom
domain, www.kuwago.com, has been registered with Internic and set up
by my ISP to be DNS served by nwlink.com and to point to the IP they
assigned me. If I put in the host www.kuwago.com into Anarchie it
does spit back the correct IP so it appears that part of it has been
completed by my ISP.
It would seem to me that I should put in host: www, domain:
kuwago.com. However, if I put in anything other than nwlink.com (for
the domain in the WebTen preferences) WebTen will change it back to
nwlink.com, even though the other domain is registered.
What do I place in WebTen preferences for the host and domain name?
Do I need to be running the WebTen DNS service on my end? And if so,
does using DNS require me to replace open transport? And does
replacing open transport REQUIRE two different IP numbers?
