Stephanie,

thanks for your encouragement on the osx install. I had two problems:

1. Must extract the tar per the instructions. I used stuffit it extract the
file and that didn't work.

2. I moved some of the old apache files, and the installer didn't like that
either. 

The summary is that I built a virgin osx server system and then itools
extracted perfectly.
