Moving WebTen Install to another Server
I have a Webten 3 installation on a beige G3/400 w 256Mb ram OS9.0.4 I want
to move it over to my new Dual 500/G4. I copied the entire directory and
preferences over and mirrored my exact setup except for hard Drive
Configuration and memory (512 MB)
Webten starts up but then stalls and can not start up the cache. In spite of
attempts to duplicate everything, reconfigure the cache, it still is
inconsistent when it seems to work, and will not start up properly when I
restart the server. What am I doing wrong? Do I need to reinstall? and if so
what do I need to do to move the installation from one mac to another. I
have quite a few virtual domains and DNS entries so I have to keep that in
mind if reinstalling.
The original works just fine. It seems like some sort of compatibility
issue.
Had to keep the old server going because of 4 hours of fruitless labor.
