I'm not sure if it was an isolated case or not, but when installing
a server on a machine I was fixing once, setting the TCP/IP panel with the
IP address - then the wrong search domain alongside made things all screwy.
Putting the correct search domain in next to the IP fixed things up. I've
never been able to reproduce this to know if it was the cause or not. Maybe
just a coincidence.
