Re: Getting WebTEN to Work - DAY 7!!!!!!!!
|
Hello Ray,
I'm a little late to this party but are you using System 9.1? I
heard somewhere some of the changes with the new system (TCP/IP in
particular) don't play well with WebTen right now. Do you have another
(older, slower) machine you could test with for a day or so? For some
reason, and I have no idea why, some machines just don't perform as
well as others. That's a pretty hefty system for serving html pages,
what are you planning?
As ar as the future of any web server software who knows what
affect OS X will have. A book I am writing on being a Macintosh
Webmaster has been greatly delayed in hopes of including accurate
information about Apple's future OS. It's anyone's guess what and when
the "Vaporware" server portion will be ready and how well it
will work. Tenon's products are a safe bet and will continue to work
for years.
My two cents,
