WebTen
I had to change the webserving port from 80 to 85 and did so within webten
admin. However after restarting I can not access the webten_admin page. I
get the first prompt to enter name and pasword but then it tells me that
port :84 is busy try again later or stalls out one or the other.
Any hints?
Ummm, I suspect that you have Squid turned on, and it usually
operates on port 80 and bumps Apache to port 81. Since you have
manually reassigned Apache to port 85, my guess is that Squid is now
responding on that port minus 1, which would put it on port 84
resulting in the conflict.
Check your cache settings - turn off accelerator cache and let us
know what happens.
Since you can't access the admin page at this point, that's going to
be a bit tricky, you will have to open the httpd.conf file and see
what ports the "listen" directive shows. and what ports the virtual
hosts show.
If you need assistance with this, give a call, or email me off-list.
