        Well, interesting you mention the Cache - when the code red problem
was around at it's peak last year (remember all those default.ida hits in
your logs?), I switched the cache off on my machine because it was stalling
in it's web serving (ftp, DNS etc.. were working, only web serving stopped)
& it actually sped up the machine & also made it keep serving all the time.
        Though Tenon said switching the cache off shouldn't speed things
up, it was definitely speedier on my machine - your mileage may vary.
